SEEK GOD’S COUNSEL ABOVE ALL

Scripture Focus: “My sheep LISTEN to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27.

Adam’s downfall came when he listened to Eve’s advice without seeking God’s counsel. Out of love, we sometimes follow others’ advice, even when it may not align with God’s will. Abraham, too, faced a similar moment with Sarah’s advice when she asked him to chase Hagar out, but Abraham didn’t do so until God confirmed her advice. The difference between Adam and Abraham is that Adam didn’t hear from God, but Abraham did.

This illustrates a powerful balance: take advice from loved ones but seek God’s confirmation above all. God’s voice should be the foundation of every decision you make. Let Him guide your choices.

Prayer: Father give me the grace to follow Your leading above everything else in Jesus’ name. Amen.
