Scripture Focus: “…but the NAME of the WICKED will ROT.” Proverbs 10:7.
When Cain left God’s presence, he built a city and named it after his son, Enoch, beginning a pattern of human pride and the desire to leave a legacy. Yet, Proverbs 10:7 reminds us, “The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.” Cain’s city has faded away, lost to time. This demonstrates that true legacy is not measured by fame, but by the lasting impact of a life lived according to God’s will.
Our lives should reflect a legacy rooted in godly character and eternal impact, not in worldly success.
Prayer: Father, let my life be a blessing to others in Jesus’ name. Amen.
