THE IMPORTANCE OF BOUNDARIES

Scripture Focus: Genesis 6:2
Genesis 6:2 describes how the sons of God crossed their God-given boundaries, taking the
daughters of men as wives. According to 1 Peter 3:19-20, these angels were judged because
they left their dwelling and stepped into a realm outside their jurisdiction. This teaches us a vital
lesson: God sets boundaries for our protection and purpose.
As children of God, there are places, people, and actions that are off-limits. For example, sex is
designed for the boundary of marriage. To step outside these divine boundaries is to invite
judgment. Boundaries are not restrictions but safeguards, ensuring that we thrive within God’s
perfect plan for our lives. Let us remain where God has placed us and honor Him through
obedience.
Prayer: Lord, help me to recognize and respect the boundaries You have set for my life. Teach
me to thrive in the place You have positioned me. Amen.
