THE PRIORITY OF THANKSGIVING

Scripture Focus: Genesis 8:20-21
The first thing Noah did after leaving the ark was to build an altar and offer a sacrifice of
thanksgiving to God. He didn’t get carried away with searching for friends or mourning those
who didn’t survive. Instead, he chose to honor the One who had preserved him.
This teaches us a profound lesson: thanksgiving should be our first response after a
breakthrough, no matter how big or small. Too often, we become consumed by success and
forget to acknowledge the God who made it possible. Noah’s act of sincere gratitude pleased
God so much that it led to a covenant of blessing.
Let us cultivate a heart of thanksgiving and always give God the glory He deserves. Praise Him
wholeheartedly, recognizing that all good things come from Him.
Prayer: Father, thank You for every breakthrough and blessing. Teach me to always prioritize
thanksgiving and glorify You in all things. Amen.
