Scripture Focus: Genesis 12:10; Ruth 1:1-2
Abram arrived in Canaan as God instructed, but when famine struck, he left for Egypt without
any record of divine instruction (Genesis 12:10). Faced with hardship, he relied on logic rather
than faith, mirroring the mistakes many make; moving out of place due to temporary struggles
instead of trusting God’s provision. Similarly, Elimelech left Bethlehem for Moab during famine
(Ruth 1:1-2), a decision that led to devastating consequences.
Difficult seasons do not mean God has abandoned us. Faith is proven in endurance, not
escape. Leaving prematurely can cause missed growth and divine opportunities. Stay where He
has placed you until He directs otherwise, knowing trials refine faith, not destroy purpose.
Prayer: Lord, help me trust Your placement and remain steadfast despite difficulties. Amen.
