TRUE FAITH: BELIEVING GOD’S WORD

Scripture Focus: Genesis 15:6; Hebrews 11:1
The true definition of faith is believing God’s word. When the Bible says, “Abram believed the
Lord, and it was credited to him as righteousness” (Genesis 15:6), it wasn’t because Abram
simply had a strong desire, it was because he believed what God had promised.

Faith is not about wishing for what we want; it is about trusting in what God has spoken. Many
people today confuse faith with personal ambition, attempting to claim things that God never
promised them. Faith is not about forcing our desires onto God, but receiving His promises with
confidence. True faith aligns with God’s will, not our greed.
Prayer: Lord, help me to anchor my faith in Your promises, not my desires. Teach me to trust
Your word above all else. Amen.
