PURSUE THE VULTURES!

Scripture Focus: Genesis 15:11; 1 Peter 5:8
As Abram prepared his sacrifice for the covenant, vultures came down to devour it (Genesis
15:11). But he did not sit back, he drove them away. This is a powerful lesson: when God establishes a covenant with us, the enemy will always try to disrupt it. The vultures represent
anything that tries to ruin our relationship with God; doubt, sin, distractions, fear, or compromise.
Abram pursued the vultures and fought for his covenant. Likewise, we must actively resist
anything that threatens our spiritual life. Do not be passive! If something is pulling you away
from God, drive it out immediately. The enemy is always looking for an opportunity to steal, but
those who guard their covenant will walk in victory. Protect your altar. Pursue the vultures!
Prayer: Lord, give me the strength to drive away anything that threatens my relationship with
You. Let me be vigilant and bold in keeping my covenant with You. Amen.
