Scripture Focus: Genesis 21:1; Job 42:10
God remembered Sarah and fulfilled His promise after Abraham had prayed for Abimelech’s household, where the women were barren. This mirrors the story of Job, who experienced restoration after praying for his friends. There is a powerful principle here—when we focus on the needs of others, God often unlocks personal breakthroughs.
It is easy to become consumed with our own struggles, but selfless intercession aligns us with God’s heart. Abraham did not withhold his prayers despite waiting for his own promise. Job did not turn inward in his suffering but interceded for others. In both cases, God responded. When we shift our focus from our own needs to standing in the gap for others, we position ourselves for divine intervention.
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to pray beyond myself. Give me a heart that intercedes for others, trusting that You will take care of my own needs in Your perfect time. Amen.
