When Hatred Has No Cause, Let Wisdom Lead

Scripture Focus:
“And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated
him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.” – Genesis 37:4

Joseph did nothing wrong. He was hated for simply being loved, for being different, for walking
uprightly. If you ever feel that the hatred around you is undeserved, remember this: even if the
whole world turns against you, God is still with you. Let that be your anchor.

However, learn from Joseph’s youthful excitement. He shared his dreams with people who
already hated him, and it escalated the tension. Not every revelation from God is for public
consumption. Some things are meant to be nurtured in secret. It was not a sin, Joseph was
young, and his intentions were pure. But it teaches us that maturity is knowing what to share,
when, and with whom. May God give us wisdom to handle divine revelations carefully, and the
strength to stand firm even when hatred is unjust.

Prayer:
Father, when I am hated without a cause, help me remember that You are for me. Teach me
when to speak and when to keep quiet. Give me wisdom beyond my years.
