no blame game

Scripture Focus:
“For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done
nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.” – Genesis 40:15
When Joseph spoke to the butler, there was no bitterness in his words. He simply stated facts.
He did not call out his brothers. He did not recount the false accusation from Potiphar’s wife. He
didn’t go into details or seek pity. Joseph had already settled it in his heart that whatever anyone
meant for evil, God would use for good. He refused to play the blame game.
Bitterness only fuels delay. Blaming others may feel right, but it never heals. Joseph chose
purpose over pain, maturity over murmuring. Even when falsely accused, he focused on what
God was doing, not what men had done. If you must rise into God’s next season for your life,
you must learn to let go of blame. See God’s hand even in betrayal.
Prayer: Father, teach me to see Your hand even in the painful seasons. Help me release every
blame and choose trust instead.
