there is always more

Scripture Focus:
“Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of
Egypt.” Genesis 41:33
Joseph didn’t stop at interpreting Pharaoh’s dream, he went further to provide a clear, practical
solution. That extra step changed everything. Pharaoh wasn’t just impressed with Joseph’s
insight, he was moved by his wisdom. It’s one thing to do what is asked, it’s another to do more
than expected. Excellence opens doors. If you want to be set apart, don’t settle for average,

bring more, add value and take initiative. It is those who go beyond the minimum that are
remembered and rewarded.
God is calling you to live above mediocrity. In school, at work, at home, go the extra mile. Do
the unnoticed things. Build a reputation for being thorough, reliable, and wise. Joseph didn’t
become second-in-command overnight. His consistent habits of going the extra mile led him
there. Even when no one is watching, keep doing more. Because one day, a Pharaoh will hand
you his signet ring.
Prayer: Lord, help me to live excellently and go beyond expectations. Let my habits prepare me
for divine promotion.
