Scripture Focus: Exodus 1:22; 2:3-6
“…Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river…
And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes… and she laid it
in the flags by the river’s brink… And the daughter of Pharaoh… saw the child… and had
compassion on him…”
Pharaoh’s decree to kill every Hebrew male was meant to destroy Israel’s future. Yet it became
the very tool God used to position Moses for destiny. Moses’ mother, as a result of the law, was
forced to hide her baby, Moses, by placing him in a basket on the Nile, where Pharaoh’s
daughter found and adopted him. The palace that issued the death sentence became the place
where the deliverer was raised. What Pharaoh meant for Israel’s destruction became the
foundation of their deliverance.
This is God’s unchanging pattern, turning the enemy’s schemes into stepping stones for His
purpose. The devil is a guaranteed failure; his best attacks only push God’s plan forward. Just
as the cross, he intended to end Jesus’ mission, and his intention and plan became the source
of salvation for all, so every evil plotted against you can be turned for your good. Trust the One
who works all things together for the good of those who love Him.
Prayer: Lord, turn every plan of the enemy against me into a testimony of Your power and
purpose. Amen.
