made ready

Scripture Focus: “Then Moses took his wife and his sons and set them on a donkey; and he returned to the land of Egypt. And Moses took the rod of God in his hand.” Exodus 4:20 NKJV

After forty years in Midian, Moses was no longer the proud prince who once tried to deliver Israel by killing an Egyptian. He had been broken, trained, and humbled as a shepherd in his father-in-law’s house. Now, with the staff of God in his hand, he was ready for destiny. The detail that Scripture mentions the rod of God is no accident, it shows us that his assignment would no longer be done by human strength but by divine power. Like Jesus, who spent thirty years in preparation for just over three years of ministry, Moses was proof that training is never wasted.

This is a call for you to wait and be prepared. Don’t run ahead of God’s timing. Don’t try to force destiny with your own hand; it will only end in failure. God uses hidden seasons of training to strip us of pride and teach us His ways. And when the time comes, you will not go alone, you will carry your family, your loved ones, and everyone around you into the journey of destiny. Moses did not know exactly how things would unfold in Egypt, but he obeyed anyway. When God has made you ready, step out in faith with His rod in your hand.

Prayer: Lord, prepare me fully for the assignment You have given me. Teach me to wait for Your timing, and when the moment comes, help me step out in faith. Amen.
