beyond us all

Scripture Focus:
“Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did
send me before you to preserve life.” – Genesis 45:5
When Joseph revealed his identity, his brothers were terrified. The weight of their guilt came
crashing in; every lie, every secret, every jealous act. But Joseph, full of grace, didn’t retaliate.
Instead, he helped them see the bigger picture. “God sent me,” he said. What they meant for
harm, God had woven into a story of preservation and redemption. This is the heart of true
forgiveness; when you realise it was never just about you, but about God’s purpose unfolding
through you.
Joseph forgave because he saw God’s hand. He not only released his brothers but invited them
into his life again. That’s the gospel. Jesus doesn’t just forgive us, He restores us. No matter
how far you’ve fallen or how broken your relationships are, God can mend it all. And just like
Joseph’s words revived Jacob’s spirit, God’s Word will revive you too. Read it, believe it, and
watch dead places come alive again.
Prayer:
Father, help me see the bigger picture in every pain. Teach me to forgive fully and trust Your
perfect plan.
