Scripture:
Genesis 30:22 – “Then God remembered Rachel; He listened to her and enabled her to
conceive.”
In life, we often try to make things happen in our own strength. Rachel did everything she could,
she gave her maid to Jacob, she competed with her sister, and she put pressure on everyone,
but nothing worked until God remembered her. It wasn’t that God had forgotten her; it simply
wasn’t her appointed time. When it finally came, she gave birth to Joseph, and later, Benjamin;
two of the most significant sons in Israel’s history.
The same was true for Sarah, who gave birth to Isaac, and Rebecca, who gave birth to Jacob.
These were not just children, they were destiny carriers. The ones born through human
manipulation did not carry the same divine weight. That’s why you must be patient with God.
Don’t cut corners. Don’t pressure your husband. Don’t manipulate your way forward. Wait on the
Lord. When it is time, He will make it glorious.
Prayer:
Lord, You have spoken concerning me. Help me to wait. Don’t let me run ahead of You in
Jesus’ name.
