Dream Killer or Dream Helper?

Scripture Focus:
“And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now therefore, and let us
slay him, and cast him into some pit…” Genesis 37:19–20

Joseph’s brothers were not just angry with him, they were angry at his dream. They had a
choice: to support him or sabotage him. And they chose to kill the dreamer. What they didn’t
realise was that Joseph’s dream did not hinder their own greatness. Destiny is not a
competition. Helping someone else rise doesn’t mean you will fall.

You, too, will face this test. When you see someone with a bright future, a God-given vision,
what do you do? Do you criticise, oppose, or envy them? Or do you support, encourage, and
protect that dream? The truth is, how you treat another man’s dream is often a reflection of how
you handle your own. Are you a dream killer or a dream helper? Be the kind of person who
makes greatness around you possible, not impossible.

Prayer:
Father, help me never to oppose what You are doing in someone else’s life. Teach me to
celebrate, support, and protect the dreams of others.
