embrace service

Scripture Focus:
“And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his
house…” – Genesis 39:4
Joseph did not become great by force or by luck. He served his way into greatness. His dreams
did not die in Potiphar’s house, they matured. Joseph moved from being the favoured son to a
lowly slave, yet he embraced service with joy and diligence. This was not weakness; it was
wisdom. Service refined his character, sharpened his leadership skills, and expanded his
capacity.
People who avoid serving will crash if they ever get to the top. Joseph’s years in Potiphar’s
house and in prison were not wasted. They were divine training grounds. Every task taught him
patience, responsibility, humility, and wisdom. When the door of destiny opened, he was ready.
Wherever God places you, whether church, school, workplace, home, serve with your heart.
Don’t despise small beginnings. Every act of faithful service is preparation for something
greater. Embrace service.
Prayer:
Lord, give me the heart to serve with excellence and joy, even when it is hard or unnoticed, in
Jesus’ name.
