Scripture Focus: Genesis 25:21; Romans 8:28
Rebekah was God’s choice for Isaac. Her selection was divinely orchestrated, her character
was golden, and everything about her pointed to the will of God. Yet, she was barren. It doesn’t
seem to add up. How can something so clearly led by God carry so much pain? But this is the
truth we often don’t want to hear. Even what God gives may come with battles. Being in God’s
will doesn’t mean you’ll be spared from challenges. Sometimes, it means the challenge is part of
the journey, not a sign that something went wrong.
Isaac didn’t walk away. He prayed. He fought for what God gave him. That’s the posture we
must learn. When what God promised delays, don’t doubt His hand. Dig deeper in faith. Just
because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s not God. In fact, that barren ground might be where your
strongest prayers are born. Let trials never make you question God’s direction. Instead, let them
drive you closer to the One who gave the promise in the first place.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust You even when the journey gets hard. Teach me to hold on to what
You’ve given me and press deeper in prayer. Let my faith not fail in the face of delay. In Jesus’
name. Amen.
