Scripture Focus: Romans 4:3; Hebrews 11:8
Despite Abram’s missteps, leaving Canaan, deceiving Pharaoh, and seeking self-preservation,
God remained with him. Mercy spoke for him, and grace preserved him. Even with his
weaknesses, Abram still became the father of faith. This reveals a powerful truth: God does not
call the perfect; He calls the available. His choice of Abram was not based on flawless
obedience but on divine purpose.
Many times, we disqualify ourselves from God’s plan because of our failures. However, if God
has chosen you, nothing, not even your past, can stop His purpose. His mercy is greater than your mistakes.
The key is to remain available, willing to learn, and open to His leading. God’s
faithfulness is not dependent on our perfection but on His unchanging promise.
Prayer: Lord, I surrender my imperfections to You. Thank You for choosing me despite my
flaws. Help me to remain available for Your purpose. Amen.
