GOD SEES THE FORGOTTEN

Scripture Focus: Genesis 16:7-10; Psalm 34:18
When Hagar fled into the wilderness, feeling abandoned and mistreated, the Angel of the Lord
appeared to her (Genesis 16:7-10). This was not just any angel, many theologians believe this
was a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ. Hagar, a servant woman cast aside,
experienced a direct encounter with God.
This moment reveals a beautiful truth: God is always on the side of the outcast, the broken, the
forgotten. He does not ignore the pain of those the world overlooks. Hagar was not Abram’s wife

of promise, yet God still cared for her. No matter how unseen or unimportant you feel, God sees
you, He hears your cry, and He meets you in your wilderness. You are not forgotten.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for seeing me, even when I feel invisible. Remind me that I am never
alone, for You are near to the brokenhearted. Amen.
