God Sees the Overlooked and Births Greatness from Them

Scripture Focus: Genesis 29:31 to 35; 1st Corinthians 1:27
Leah was unloved. She was caught in a marriage built on deception and ignored by the man
who was supposed to cherish her. Yet the Bible says, “When the Lord saw that Leah was hated,
He opened her womb.” (Genesis 29:31). God responded to her pain with favor. While man
rejected her, heaven noticed her. Each child she bore was a sign that she was not forgotten.
And when she gave birth to Judah, she said, “Now will I praise the Lord.” (Genesis 29:35). That
praise shifted everything because through Judah came David, and through David came Jesus.
This is how God works. He does not need public validation to release divine purpose. The world
may not choose you, but God can use you. Leah was overlooked by Jacob but chosen by God
to carry the lineage of the Messiah. That’s the God you serve; One who brings greatness from
those who are counted out. If you feel unseen, unloved, or overlooked, do not despair. The eyes
of the Lord are on you, and His hand is writing a bigger story.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for seeing me when others do not. Use my life for greatness, and let my pain
give birth to praise. Amen.
