Scripture Focus: Genesis 12:1-5; Romans 4:20-22
After Terah’s death, Abraham continued his journey to Canaan but still brought Lot along,
another act of partial obedience. The original instruction was clear: “Leave your family and go to
the land I will show you.” Lot’s presence later created significant challenges, yet despite this,
God remained faithful to Abraham. The purpose God had for his life was still fulfilled.
Abraham’s story reminds us that God doesn’t give up on us, even when we falter. Though
Abraham didn’t begin as the “hero of faith,” he grew into it through God’s guidance and grace. If
you’ve been disobedient or strayed from God’s instructions, don’t despair. Retrace your steps
and trust that God can still bring beauty out of your life. His plans for you remain intact.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your grace, even when I fall short. Help me to retrace my steps and
walk fully in Your purpose for my life. Amen.
