Scripture Focus: Genesis 25:5 to 6; Proverbs 13:22
Abraham gave all that he had to Isaac. He understood the weight of legacy. Isaac wasn’t just
another child. He was the one through whom the covenant would continue. But even to the
other sons of his concubines, Abraham gave gifts. He didn’t exit the world empty handed. He
built, he grew, he planned, and he passed it on. What a man. He didn’t just live. He prepared.
That’s the mark of a wise father. A good man doesn’t only dream for himself. He dreams with
his children in mind.
Abraham leaves us a clear example. Have something to pass on. It’s not just about money. It’s
about vision, values, faith, wisdom, and substance. Too many live and die with nothing to show
for it. As a parent, your life should overflow enough to bless your children and guide their future.
Don’t just survive. Build. Don’t just gather. Prepare. Let your children rise and call you blessed
because you lived with legacy in mind.
Prayer:
Lord, help me live with legacy in view. Teach me to build, to prepare, and to bless those coming
after me. May my life be a gift that continues to give. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
