Scripture Focus: Genesis 25:21 to 23; James 1:5
Isaac noticed that Rebekah was barren, and he didn’t get angry, bitter, or distant. He prayed.
Rebekah, after finally conceiving, sensed a strange struggle in her womb. She didn’t run to
friends, panic, or complain. She went to inquire from the Lord. This is a powerful pattern for
every home. In times of confusion or hardship, don’t jump to conclusions. Jump into God’s
presence. Don’t assume. Don’t accuse. Inquire. When something doesn’t feel right, God is not
silent. He wants to speak, but you must seek.
Marriage isn’t without battles, but how you respond to those battles makes all the difference. As
a husband, learn to cover your wife in prayer when things seem off. As a wife, don’t ignore
divine nudges. Take them to the Lord. Rebekah didn’t need a scan to know something spiritual
was going on. She discerned it, and she sought God. May that be your posture too. Inquire
before you react. Seek understanding before you start arguing. That’s how spiritually mature
couples grow through storms instead of being broken by them.
Prayer:
Lord, give me the grace to seek You first when life becomes confusing. Teach me to pray
instead of panicking, to listen instead of lashing out. Lead me, and let Your voice guide our
home. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
