Leading and Supporting in Unity

Scripture Focus: Genesis 18:6 to 7; Ephesians 5:22 to 25

Abraham was a great leader in his home. When three strangers arrived he did not command a servant to prepare the meal. Instead he turned to Sarah. He passed the vision of hospitality to her and without hesitation she got to work. Sarah did not complain. She did not question the cost. She did not push the responsibility to a servant. She shared in the vision and executed it with grace.

This is the beauty of a home where both the husband and wife understand their assignment. Abraham led with wisdom and Sarah followed with willingness. There was no argument about wasting resources on strangers. No resistance to serving together. Abraham cast the vision. Sarah embraced it. A strong marriage is one where leadership and support go hand in hand. Husbands are called to lead with wisdom. Wives are called to respond with understanding. When both walk in unity God’s presence dwells in that home.

Prayer:

Lord make our homes places of unity and understanding. Teach husbands to lead with wisdom and love. Teach wives to support with grace and willingness. Let our families reflect Your divine order. Amen.
