Scripture Focus: Genesis 23:1 to 2; Hebrews 11:11
The Bible says, “…and Sarah died.” Just like that. But what a life she lived. Sarah walked
beside Abraham through every twist and turn of God’s call. She left her homeland, gave up her
comfort, lived in tents, entertained strangers who turned out to be angels, watched her husband
offer their only son to God, and stayed faithful through it all. What a woman of strength and quiet
courage. Her name may not be written in bold headlines, but her faith was carved deep into the
journey of promise.
Sarah didn’t just follow Abraham. She followed God through Abraham. When Abraham acted on
instructions that didn’t make sense to the natural mind, Sarah stood by him. She laughed. She
wept. She waited. She believed. She submitted not out of weakness but out of deep trust in the
God who called them. What will be said of you when your time is up? You may not live forever,
but you can live remarkably. Choose to live so well that even your absence continues to preach.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the example of Sarah. Teach me to walk with quiet strength, deep faith, and
unwavering trust in You, no matter where You lead. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
