makes it right

Scripture Focus:
“For thy servant became surety for the lad unto my father, saying, If I bring him not unto thee,
then I shall bear the blame to my father forever.” – Genesis 44:32
Judah was once the voice that led the charge to sell Joseph. He had a record of poor choices,
from betrayal to sexual compromise. But in Genesis 44, we see a different man. This time, when
Benjamin’s life was at risk, Judah stepped forward. He didn’t just feel bad, he offered himself in
Benjamin’s place. This is true repentance. It’s not just about saying “I’m sorry.” It’s about doing
all you can, with God’s help, to make things right.
Judah’s transformation was powerful. He didn’t blame others. He didn’t disappear in silence like
Reuben. He stood up, accepted responsibility, and acted in love. God is not looking for perfect
people, but for humble hearts willing to change. Like Judah, your past may be full of failure, but
your present can still honour God. Repentance is proven in action, lay down your pride, admit
the wrongs, and take steps to restore what was broken.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to truly repent, not just with words but with actions that honour You and heal
others.
