Serve Like It’s Yours, Even When It’s Not

Scripture Focus: Genesis 24:12 to 33; Colossians 3:23 to 24
Abraham’s servant wasn’t just a good worker. He was a man of deep conviction, honor, and
loyalty. The moment he received the assignment, he prayed. He didn’t lean on his master’s
reputation or his own experience. He sought God. He was intentional, discerning, and sensitive
to divine direction. He refused to eat until the assignment was complete. He didn’t delay, didn’t
compromise, and didn’t cut corners. From the way he spoke, to how he observed Rebekah, to
how he narrated the journey, everything showed a man who had been raised under godly
influence and chose to live with integrity. Abraham didn’t just raise a family. He raised a servant
who feared the Lord.
This is a reminder that your life can impact more than your children. How you live, serve, and
treat others can shape destinies around you. The servant’s loyalty wasn’t forced. It flowed from
a heart that respected the God Abraham served. In a generation that celebrates entitlement, be

like this servant; faithful, prayerful, thorough, and loyal. Don’t wait to own it before you give your
best. Serve like it’s yours, even when it’s not. God is watching, and He rewards faithfulness.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to serve with excellence and integrity. Let my life reflect You in every assignment,
and may my loyalty speak louder than words. Use me to impact everyone connected to me. In
Jesus’ name. Amen.
