Scripture Focus: Genesis 6:14-22
When God asked Noah to build the ark, it wasn’t a simple task. Obedience to God required
Noah to leave his comfort behind and endure challenges—living in a confined space for over a
year with animals, enduring their roars and smells, and likely managing tension among family
members. Yet, Noah remained faithful and steadfast in obeying God.
This reminds us that obedience to God often comes with a cost. It may require letting go of
comfort, enduring challenges, or facing pressures. However, true obedience means staying
focused on God’s instructions, knowing that His plans are for our good and His glory. Whatever
the cost, the reward of pleasing God far outweighs the sacrifice.
Prayer: Lord, teach me to obey You no matter the cost. Help me to remain focused and faithful,
even when obedience is difficult. Amen.
