The Power of Intercession

Scripture Focus: Genesis 19:29; Job 42:10

Lot was not saved because of his own righteousness. He was rescued because of Abraham’s intercession. “So when God destroyed the cities of the plain, He remembered Abraham, and He brought Lot out of the catastrophe” (Genesis 19:29). Lot had lived in compromise, yet God spared him because someone stood in the gap for him.

This reveals the power of intercession. Prayer can make a difference in the lives of others. Some are rescued not because of their own faith, but because someone else prayed for them. Do not give up on your loved ones. Keep interceding. God still answers prayers and delivers people for the sake of those who seek Him.

Prayer:

Lord, make me an intercessor. Teach me to stand in the gap for others just as Abraham did. Let my prayers bring salvation, deliverance, and mercy to those in need. Amen.
