Scripture Focus: Genesis 16:9; Hebrews 13:17
Hagar fled from Sarai’s mistreatment, yet God told her to return and submit (Genesis 16:9). This
seems difficult. Why would God send her back? However, submission is not about the person
but about trusting God’s process.
Submission to parents, leaders, and spiritual authority is part of God’s divine order. It does not
mean tolerating abuse, but it does mean yielding to God’s plan, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Running away is not always the solution, sometimes, submission is the key to elevation. When
done with wisdom and discernment, it leads to growth, favor, and divine promotion. Trust God’s
leading, even in difficult places.
Prayer: Lord, help me submit with wisdom and trust Your plan in every season. Amen.
