THE TIMELESS MESSAGE OF REPENTANCE

Scripture Focus: Jude 1:14 – 15
Enoch, the first prophet recorded in Scripture, preached about judgment and repentance (Jude
1:14-15). Jesus carried the same message: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”
(Matthew 4:17). The apostles also proclaimed repentance as the pathway to salvation.
Over time, however, the focus of many messages has shifted from repentance to self-centered
themes like fame and prosperity. While these topics may not be inherently wrong, they should
never overshadow the core message of repentance. This foundational truth brings people to
salvation and aligns them with God’s will.
As believers, we must uphold the authenticity of God’s Word and prioritize the message of
repentance. It is through turning to God in humility that true transformation begins.
Prayer: Lord, help me not toprioritize the opinions of men over Your truth. Amen.
