TRUSTING GOD IN THE WAITING PERIOD

Scripture Focus: Genesis 7:10
In Genesis 7:10, the Bible reveals that after Noah and his family entered the ark, “And it came to
pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.” For seven days, the
rain didn’t start, leaving Noah’s family in a period of waiting. One can only imagine the thoughts
that might have filled their minds: “Did God truly mean it?” “What if the flood doesn’t come?”
This waiting period must have tested their faith and trust in God’s word.
Similarly, when God sends us on an assignment or gives us a promise, there are often
moments of waiting where it seems nothing is happening. Doubts may arise, and it might feel
like God has forgotten. But just as He did with Noah, God will always fulfill His promises in His
perfect timing. The waiting is not a sign of abandonment but an opportunity to deepen our trust
in Him.
Prayer: Lord, help me to trust You in the waiting seasons of life. Strengthen my faith to hold onto
Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to bring them to pass. Amen.
