Unexpected favor

Scripture Focus: “And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people.” Exodus 11:3

Slaves do not normally find favor with their masters. The Israelites had been beaten, overworked, and oppressed for generations, yet suddenly their story changed. God Himself tilted the hearts of the Egyptians toward His people. Those who once despised them opened their hands and gave them silver, gold, and clothing. This was not negotiation; it was divine intervention. When God’s favor comes upon your life, even the hardest hearts bow. Even environments designed to crush you become platforms to lift you. The same hands that tormented Israel now enriched them, because God had spoken.

This is the mystery of divine favor, it comes from where you least expect. Joseph was lifted by Pharaoh, Esther was chosen by a foreign king, Daniel was promoted in Babylon, and now Israel was blessed by their enemies. What men intend for evil, God turns for good, and no human opposition can block His favor. That is why you must pray for God’s favor rather than chase the approval of men. If He could make Egypt favor Israel, He can open doors for you in places you never imagined. Trust Him to surprise you.

Prayer: Lord, let Your divine favor rest upon me. Turn even the unlikeliest people and places into channels of blessing for my life, in Jesus’ name.
