Unshakeable Faith

Scripture Focus: Genesis 22:5; Hebrews 11:17 to 19
Abraham told his servants, “We will go and worship, and we will come back to you.” He knew he
was going to sacrifice Isaac, yet he believed they would return together. That was not denial.
That was deep, unshakable faith. According to Hebrews 11, Abraham believed that even if he
killed Isaac, God was able to raise him back to life. There had never been a resurrection before,
but Abraham trusted God so much, he believed for something that had no precedent.
This is the kind of faith we need. When God gives you a promise, you can trust Him, even when
He asks you to lay it down. If He gave it, He can give it again. Faith says, “Lord, I don’t know
how, but I know You.” Abraham believed because God had spoken over Isaac’s life, and God
cannot lie. So if He asks you to surrender what He gave you, do it. He is the Owner. He is still
faithful. And He can raise anything back to life.
Prayer:
Lord, give me the kind of faith that believes even when nothing makes sense. Help me trust You
enough to surrender and still expect resurrection. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
