Scripture Focus:
“But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy and gave him favour in the sight of the
keeper of the prison” Genesis 39:21
Joseph was punished for what he refused to do. He fled from sin and ended up in prison. Yet, in
the depths of darkness, God was still with him. Joseph wasn’t defined by the pit or the prison;
he was marked by the presence of God. Even in prison, he prospered.
God’s presence will keep you steady when life feels unfair. Just as Joseph found favour and
leadership in a hopeless place, you too can thrive wherever you are. It is not your environment
but your connection with God that determines your outcome. Let every season, even the hard
ones, build you. Choose to be defined by God’s hand on your life, not the pain in your story.
Prayer:
Lord, let Your presence go with me through every season of life. Teach me to remain faithful
when doing right seems unrewarded, in Jesus’ name.
